Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA)
The Prudential Regulation Authority is a part of the Bank of England and the prudential regulator for around 1,500 banks, building societies, credit unions, insurers, and major investment firms in the UK. It promotes the safety and soundness of firms it regulates and seeks to minimize the adverse effects of firm failures on the UK financial system. The PRA works alongside the FCA to ensure comprehensive oversight of the UK financial sector.
