Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria (SEC Nigeria)
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria is the apex regulatory body for the Nigerian capital market, charged with developing and regulating the capital market to protect investors and maintain fair and efficient markets. Established in 1979, it oversees the Nigerian Stock Exchange, investment and securities businesses, and public offerings of securities. SEC Nigeria has been active in developing a regulatory framework for digital assets and fintech innovations.
