South African Reserve Bank (SARB)
The South African Reserve Bank is the central bank of South Africa, established in 1921 as one of the oldest central banks in Africa. Its primary mandate is to protect the value of the currency and maintain price stability in the interests of sustainable and balanced economic growth. The SARB also oversees the financial system as a whole, houses the Prudential Authority, and provides banking services to the government.
